Where's the baby?

Waiting for the gorgeous one to turn up. He's late so any minute now, daughter and sweet one will come screaming up the driveway in a shower of dust and small sparks.

Finished Ducks and Ducklings for SBS yesterday. Note to self - learn how to sew up half square triangles. I've never quite mastered the art of that and it shows! Then I sticky taped my design wall to the back glass doors (not much in the way of walls in u-beaut sewing room. As soon as Bill the Builder sees a wall, he whacks a window in it) and put on all my SBS blocks so far.
It needs some more pink in it, I think.  Looks like today is going to be a bit cooler. Thank goodness for that. It has been 5,000 degrees here the last few days. That's hot!

  1. wow....5,000 degrees....that's pretty warm..LOL - it's only been in the mid 30's here with 40 forecast for Sunday....roll on Autumn I say! The good thing is I don't have to go out in it for any length of time...am fortunate to have A/C at home, in the car and at work. Love you SBS blocks so far. I will be making a start this weekend. HST are my favourite thing - there are loads of them in the CW Legacy quilt I am doing so I think I have them sussed now. I have been working on getting all the blocks done for that quilt and have half an applique block and some filler blocks to do. Can't wait to get it together. You girls are a bit ahead of me with the SBS blocks....but being competitive by nature I won't let that stop me :)

  2. Gosh Diane, only 5000 deg. !! Sounds a bit warm.
I am just sitting waiting, waiting, waiting for flood waters to arrive. We are being assured houses are safe but put things up 'just in case'. So - yes - we have 'put things up' and are waiting.....waiting....
